TypeS TODA parts in Si?? will it work??

alright i posted this some where else before, but it belongs here.

It says that TODA engine parts (i.e. engine kit) will work for the TypeR, but will it also work on the Si? -- Ok that evidently wont work.

But im still trying to see if RSX TypeS parts will work with the Civic Si, did some research this is what i came up with:

says here - They share the same 2.0-liters of displacement, bore/stroke, block, head, valves, and intake manifold.

but - the RSX's K20A2 boasts 11:1 compression pistons, and dual valve springs.

(not sure where im going with this give me a chance)

Also - the K20A2 employs a more sophisticated i-VTEC system in conjunction with more aggressive cams.

But if i plan on replacing the Pistons, Camshafts, valve springs and connecting rods from TODA... then have the ECU sent in and have it reprogrammed(reflashed) to work with the new parts shouldnt it theoretically work or am i missing something here...??? help me out.

the type s head is different.

it will work if you have an A2 or ITR swap. you may be able to use the engine kit if you did an A2 head swap. might as well get the full swap and be done with it.

Did some forum browsing.

So it looks like i need a K20A2 Head and ECU, and i have to purchase those at an Acura dealerhsip?? That right?

If so how much does that run for about?? anyone know?

no way you wanna buy it from acura..im not even sure they sell them...and even if they did get ready to pay ALOT..your best bet is to shop around ebay and local junk yards...those would be the best places to look

i know it would work if you had a a2 or an a head but i was trying to say it would not work if you had tried to swap it into the a3 head

the Toda pistons, flywheel, & clutch will fit an a3

to use the springs, and cams you need an A2 head (but if you're considering Toda, an A2 head is only $750 more)
