Finally...

It took a week and a half but i finally got my car back today with my rsx type-s motor swapped..Im in the break in period right now with about 900 more miles to go...:-( but i wanna break the motor in right!! I will have pics posted this weekend of the engine and stuff like that!!! So far from shifting at 4,000rpm's everywhere im inpressed...I cant wait to give it hell after the 900...:-)

Nice! I was lookin to do the same, one question - where the hell did you get a Type-S engine??? MAN I've been looking for one and its damn hard to find. Junkyards, shops, etc - nobody has one available for a swap. That's the only thing thats holding me back.

I paid 6,000 for the 2002 RSX Type-S engine assembly from the honda dealership! I was having mad problems with the old motor. I had a lemon and the transmission went bad 2 times in it! They were gonna just put a new transmission in it but i bought this motor and got it put in for free!! I will have pics posted Sat. But i still have awhile to go on the break in period. I cant wait to unleash he beast!!! Do you think i can consider my Si and type-r now because the one in sport compact car did?? Peace

So they had to put a 6 speed tranny in too, right?

Was the whole engine and tranny $6K or was it just $6K for the engine? They can't make it work with the 5 speed, can they?

Yeah it was 6,000 for everything..motor..ecu..etc...And yes its put into a 5-speed transmission!! I am hopeing in janurary to put out faster time than the hasport civic with the swap!! Because they made theres a 6-speed by adjusting it to a 6-speed!! I am putting a apex-i dunk exhuast, aem cold air, and dc sports header and then takeing her to the track for some times!! I wish i could line up with the hasport civic my first race!!!
